Soil Testing Equipments

Cone Penetrometer is used for finding the limit limit of soil whose plastic index is low. it is as per IS Standard. it is consist of frame with graduated scale at the front, the cone is fitted at the bottom of the rod which pass through the scale., one metal container of 50mm dia the whole unit is packed in cardboard box.

This is used for determination of in situ dry density of natural or compacted fine grained soil, free from aggregates. It is used for the taking out the soil sampler from the mould. It is use by hydraulic with the help of rod provide with the instruments.

Viberberg penetrometer is used for determining the bearing capacity of soil. It consist of proving ring 1KN with extension rod & cone at its tip . the Handle is provide at the top .it is nicely packed in wooden box.
